One of our group companies, Eurostep (Cyprus) Limited, investment adviser to the Equinox Russian Opportunities Fund, is looking to hire an Analyst for its Moscow Representative Office, with strong research and reporting skills and a particular focus on Russia and FSU corporate markets. 

Who you are:

  •  You have a minimum 5 years’ experience in a research environment 
  • You hold a Master’s degree in Economics (maths ideally, but not essential) 
  • You are highly experienced in modelling and valuation (DCF, Comparative approach); IFRS and RAS accounting standards 
  • You’re a team player, you enjoy collaboration, communication and listening 
  • You enjoy working independently and efficiently with minimal direction 
  • You are fluent in English and are an advanced user of Microsoft tools 
  • Above all, you are professional and have a strong analytical orientation 

As part of the Research Team you will: 

  •  Provide research coverage of sectors and companies: issuing reports, compiling news from brokers, newspapers 
  • Generate trading ideas and provide support for Buy/Hold/Sell recommendations 
  • Build and maintain detailed company models, company valuation models (DCF-, multiple-based) 
  • Communicate with targeted Companies (IR/ Management) and Investment Brokers (analysts) 
  • Organise meetings with Companies / Broker Analysts 
  • Participate in investment conferences, capital market days, site-trips and meetings 
  • Provide support to other teams (e.g. preparation of portfolio company- related slides for monthly Marketing presentations; calculation of various ratios for investor databases such as Cambridge Associates, etc.) 
  • Participate in corporate actions activities: preparation of recommendations for voting at shareholder meetings, communication with the Association of Institutional Investors (API).
